Explaining the Car Class selection on the car hire search box
As we are Automatic Car Hire we have defaulted the search box to the obvious selection so you only get guaranteed automatic vehicles from a host of suppliers. We don’t just stop there though – through our XML car rental technology we pull all the vehicles available through the largest car hire brokers on the market.
So choose from multiple car hire classifications or seach all and note the icons on step 2 which show what each vehicle has included and guaranteed. From air conditioning, number of doors, passenger capacity and of course transmission.
Two new choices on the Car Class drop down include:
People Carriers – Also known as MPV’s (multiple person vehicles) are designed for families and with car hire normally come in three passenger types 5 seat, 7 seat and 9 seat. Consider your luggage requirements when choosing in this category – if you only have five passengers but plenty of luggage a seven seat Ford Galaxy or similar would be a better choice.
Air conditioning is normally standard on the 5 and 7 seat hire cars but not on all 9 seat vehicles so please do check the icons on the car select screen to get guaranteed air conditioning or…
Use of new Air Conditioned Car Class which only shows rental cars from our suppliers with guaranteed air conditioning. Fuel economy may be poorer with air conditioning on but nothing compares with the comfort afforded by this extra in hotter climates.
