Excess Insurance

Our refundable excess product through Insurance4carhire means you wont have to worry about the excess on rental vehicles. Simply add the product on step 3 of our booking engine and you will be covered for the excess on the rental car plus additional extras such as the tyres, keys and windscreen.

Lots of people though (including me) are happy to take the rental car as it is and drive with an excess. If you trust your own driving, are not doing excessive mileage and follow the tips below you can help towards a credit card charge free return from your trip.

When picking the vehicle up ensure you check the car completely. If you see any possible damage not marked on your rental agreement seek a representative of your rental car company and get it marked and signed.

When parking your rental car be aware of the location and only park in a designated safe and secure spot. Fold in your mirrors to avoid them being damaged by passing traffic with ensure you have ample room away from any other vehicles or hazards.

Keep within speed limits and only drive on tarmac, local authority adopted roads. The amount of charges for cracked or damaged sumps on rental car engines from driving off road each year will surprise you!

Awareness and careful driving should lower chances of damage to the rental car but unfortunately in the majority of cases the damage is not the driver’s fault. If you want peace of mind then take up wither the insurance at the desk or our deal with Insurance4carhire.

You never know what might happen!
