Mini Cooper S Clubman

We liked the Mini Copper S Clubman but when we found out we could get this little beauty with an automatic gearbox we were chuffed.

Cooper S Automatic

The Mini.co.uk website has a great little car configurator which allows you to build your perfect Mini from the entire range – choosing everything from the additional 280 quid I spent on British Racing Green. The total package for the Mini Cooper S Clubman with an automatic gearbox was ₤18,560.00 including VAT.

If you’re a business owner like ourselves and plan to use the Clubman for carrying and fetching then you could get the VAT taken off making it a snip at ₤15,795.74 (BMW Bargain).

There a are a host of different extras and options to push the price up but all these additions make your Mini unique to you. If it is the Union flag on the roof or simply white indicator lenses – it makes the car your own.

Let’s have a look at the vital statistics…

Top speed: 139 mph
Power Output: 175 hp at 5500 rpm
0-62 mph in 7.6 s
Max. torque: 240 Nm at 1600-5000 rpm (260 Nm at 1700-4500 rpm with Overboost)
Fuel consumption (combined): 44.8 mpg
C02 emissions: 150 g/km

We are impressed especially when you take into consideration the Clubman is in essence an estate car.

There are Mini’s in our Automatic hire car fleets in selected destinations – we hope the Mini will become a firm favourite of the rental companies but alas the price determines it will more of a luxury car to choose from. If it goes on to become a classic is unknown but to us the Mini Cooper S Clubman is a luxury car if not a luxury estate car.
